- Hello.
- I got gateWay 128 the other day and I'm trying to set it up with my FD-2000,
- 1571, and my 1Meg BBGRam. The 1571 worked right away. The FD worked after I
- got the new device drivers from Delphi. I still can't get the BBGRam to work,
- though. I have the drivers in the right positions, and I have the MountBBGRam
- file placed before LAUNCH (like it says in the BBG manual). But it will not
- boot up!
- I see the device drivers pop on the screen, including the RAM driver. Then
- the screen clears, the menu and clock appear, and then NOTHING! It just stops.
- I tried both the RAM_Disk and GRAM_Disk drivers. The BBG manual says to
- use RAM_Disk, but since the BBG acts like a geoRAM I tried them both.
- Is it a problem with the MountBBGRam file? (I think I have one of the first
- disks
- that still had CONFIGURE 2.0r). Or is it the driver - the same thing happened
- with my FD before I got the new drivers from Delphi. Or does gateWay expect
- me to have SWITCHER on my disk if I have 1Meg and then locks when it can't find
- it? I made the boot disk by making it for the 1571 only and then adding
- drives because the manual says not to put AUTO-EXEC files (like MountBBGRam)
- on the boot disk until you make sure it works.
-
- Any help would be appreciated.
- - Mark :-)
